I canceled my home cable plan.  I now hook up Satellite Direct to my 42-inch plasma, and I’m able to watch all of my TV on my actual TV now.  The quality is just as good as it’d be on a regular HDTV.  I wouldn’t suggest canceling your cable plan until you’ve had at least a few weeks to play around with Satellite Direct, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up canceling yours too.
